Dr. Grace Totoe
Compassionate Physician, Entrepreneur, and Health Equity Advocate
Dr. Grace Totoe is an accomplished entrepreneur and the Medical Director of Odam Community Clinic, as well as the visionary behind the nonprofit Totoe Health Equity Project.
Her mission focuses on promoting health equity among minority communities, particularly African immigrants. Through her clinic and nonprofit, she works to reduce healthcare disparities, emphasizing preventive care and lifestyle changes to combat chronic diseases.
Dr. Totoe’s impressive academic background includes training in internal medicine at Yale University’s Internal Medicine Primary Care Program at St. Mary’s Hospital, CT, followed by a fellowship in transfusion medicine at the University of Minnesota. She also holds business certifications from Harvard Business Online School and is currently completing a course in racial health disparities and health economics.
Her approach to care is holistic, combining disease prevention with expert management. She actively engages patients in lifestyle discussions, empowering them to make healthier choices. As a licensed physician in WI, IA, MN, and KS, Dr. Totoe has worked at multiple hospitals across these regions.
Beyond her professional career, Dr. Totoe is a loving wife and mother of two daughters. She enjoys family activities like attending basketball tournaments, playing tennis, and traveling. She speaks Twi and is proficient in French, allowing her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Totoe is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is involved with numerous professional associations. She is the CEO of Totoe Health Care Consulting Services and supports Africa Partners Medical through donations and continuous medical education for African professionals. Additionally, she volunteers at her children’s school and church, and helps with her kids’ basketball team.
